Vibration (massage) is well known for its ‘feel good’ factor and has been shown to aid relaxation, and assist with the maintenance of healthy muscle and muscle function. Tension is often one of the most common reasons for poor performance. By increasing relaxation and improving back flexibility, the negative effects of tension can be reduced. A relaxed horse, with relaxed muscles, will move with fluidity and suppleness which is particularly important for competition horses performing dressage movements, and those jumping technical fences.
Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy
PEMF therapy can improve performance, range of motion, speed & strength. It reduces inflammation & relieves pain and can be used to calm a horse mentally before going into the show ring.
Wave-Light-Pulse Therapy can be used for muscular, tendon and ligament injuries, bumps, bruises, oedemas, cuts, wounds, arthritis, fractures and splints.
WLP Therapy works very well in conjunction with the Pulsed Electromagnetic Therapy (PEMF) also present in our Light Therapy Products.
Since infrared therapy enhances and improves circulation in the skin and other parts of the body, it can bring oxygen and nutrients to injured tissues, promoting healing. It helps ease pain, relieve inflammation, and protect against oxidative stress.
The application of something cold can help reduce blood flow to the injured area, helping to reduce bruising, haemorrhage, and alleviate pain. Cold therapy can be used to treat acute injuries, assist in the recovery of old injuries, or even help to prevent new ones.
Magnetic therapy can be incorporated into your horse’s daily routine and is thought to play a role in:
Helping warm muscles up before and after work
Relieving tension and aid relaxation
Easing general stiffness
Boosting general well-being
Supporting the body to heal
Ionic Negative Ion Therapy is a non-invasive, measurable way to support health.* Negative ions are absorbed into the bloodstream supporting blood flow to muscles.
Equine Stability Pads
These pads work by having a grounding effect that gently challenges your horse's proprioception resulting in relaxation, greater awareness and activation of the postural muscles.
